Regulatory 101: Regulatory basics in developing and launching a product
Join us for a discussion around the ins and outs on what you need to know to be compliant with bringing a new product to market in-regards federal, state or industry guidelines. We will be joined by Abena Foli, who is the principal of Foli Food Consult, a food regulatory consulting service. She has over a decade’s worth of experience in the food industry starting off as a Food Scientist doing product development work at General Mills and Reily Foods.
At Reily Foods I dabbled in Food Regulations and Compliance, enjoyed it and pivoted to Regulatory at Saputo Inc, when I moved to Dallas. In the past 5 years I have built and led the regulatory capabilities at Borden, Merck KGaA in their Cultured Meat program, and most recently, Orbillion Bio, a cultured meat start up. She is also the founder and Chief Spice Officer of POKS Spices, a West African seasoning company. .
